Carrie Gallahan

Carrie Gallahan

Co-Owner | Registered Yoga Teacher

Carrie Gallahan took her first yoga class about 12 years ago and discovered the balance that yoga invited into body, soul, and spirit. Unfortunately, there was not easy access to regular yoga classes in Peru making a consistent practice difficult. Three years ago, while suffering from pain and injury from training for a marathon without taking proper care of herself, she found Bodyworks in Logansport, where attending regular yoga classes helped to heal her body to such a level that she was able to run a personal best time in the marathon, injury- free!

Carrie has since completed two 200- hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Trainings (and a couple more marathons!) Besides yoga and its many benefits, Carrie is also passionate about dementia education, keeping elders inspired and active, and preserving the stories and legacies of elders. She has worked in the assisted living industry for 15 years and is currently a Regional Director with Compass Senior Living. Carrie is delighted to be a part of creating a yoga community in her hometown where the joy of yoga can be shared with all.

Tina Miser

Co-Owner | Registered Nurse | Registered Yoga Teacher

Tina Miser is a Registered Nurse (RN) and works as a Certified Health Coach at Logansport Memorial Hospital where she enjoys “coaching” people to better health. Before becoming an RN, Tina was a Human Cannonball. To say that is quite a career change is probably an understatement! She performed for 11 years as a Human Cannonball, High Fall Stuntwoman and Aerialist with various circuses. Tina and her husband, Brian, were even shot out of a cannon at the same time with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

Two years ago, Tina began doing yoga regularly and was blown away by the benefits she experienced. Yoga helped heal her body from her years of performing and restored her back to a normal level of functioning. In August, Tina graduated from the Bodyworks of Logansport 200-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training. She is grateful to be a part of Joyful Yoga and to help create a beautiful community within Peru that supports each other in yoga, health, and wellness.
